I've been coming to Rachel for years but after the pandemic hit I didn't travel as much. In all the years that I've been coming to Rachel I had never seen the gas station open be it because of the time of day that I was traveling through or the fact that it was closed for many years.
I had a chance to stop there today and it's really cool to see the old gas station open again. If you are passing through here and low on gas make sure to stop because you won't find another gas station for another 120 miles going towards Tonopah. The employees are great and the atmosphere very friendly. Area 51 and alien souvenirs are also available here for an affordable price so I would highly recommend you visit the Alien Cowpoke if you are in the area or even if you're not.

Very friendly folks and a spacious selection.! Grab a bumper sticker and slap it on your wife if she “ acts bored”… keep your eyes to the sky, as you will definitely see some of America’s finest zipping around the sky!

IA little gas station and store in the middle of the extraterrestrial highway. People inside were very friendly and chatty. I got me a little alien souvenir there. It's a good stop to get gas and other items and alien themed souvenirs.

Best t-shirts in Rachel, and nicest folks.

We had been on the Extraterrestrial Highway before, but hadn't been through Rachel. Heading back to Vegas from Reno, we decided to take 6, instead of 95. Glad we did. Stopped in for a leg stretch, and grabbed a few cold beverages. My daughter got to add to her alien collection, and the lady was very nice. The cold beverages, they were very cold. Very nice on a hot day.
The prices are a little bit higher, but it is the only stop out there, and they really weren't bad. Also, they have one grade of gasoline, and it is 87 octane. Again, it is a small shop, and the only one out there. If 87 is a problem, pay attention to your fuel gauge.
It will be cool to see them grow the business, and make additions (they mentioned in other comments).
Nice little alien 👽 stop!

Thank you so much for the wonderful service, Melody! Cowpoke rocks! We bought gas, food, souvenirs and had the best service around. Melody was such a wonderful delight to talk to, especially after such a long drive. It's well worth the time and effort to venture over to Alien Cowpoke. The prices as so modest it's a nice relief and their gas is good quality. There's an abandoned mine right across the Extra Terrestrial Highway 375 from Alien Cowpoke. It's worth the stop to snoop around if you're into abandoned places like I am. :)
Made a stop in at Cowpoke for some snacks on our way back from searching for Area 51 sites. We were met by a lovely lady called Donna. Super welcoming and friendly. The shop sells Area 51 souvenirs, snacks, drinks, shirts etc, and offers self serve gas pumps incase you require gas outside of store hours. A great stop in spot for clean toilets and a rest before heading off around the interesting area of Rachel. They can even guide you on where to find the Area 51 points of interest along with a map.

They were open! Hooray! Services in this area of NV are few and far between and with the construction stalling traffic, the open gas station was a welcome sight. Yes, price is high for gas. Yes, prices are high in the store too. But… staff is great and the store is super cute with extraterrestrial décor and souvenirs. We had enough room to pull in for gas with our 29 ft Class C and tow vehicle.
adorable gas station in the middle of nowhere. the bathroom was really clean. the price of gas was really high ($5.99/gal), which is expected because of the location. this is the only place around that has cell service. they had a good variety of drinks, snacks, and area 51 souvenirs
This place is awesome. Nestled In beautiful territory. And the woman in the shop was amazingly insightful about the natural area around and information about area 51. 10/10. Must stop in

Was driving from tonopah to hurricane utah with my boyfriend and I stopped here for some snacks and trinkets. The girl running it, Melody, is super nice and we had a cool convo with her! This place is really cute and has a clean bathroom you can use. Price on gas is a little high but it’s because they get it shipped in and it’s like a super isolated place so it’s worth it. If I did the trip again, I would go back again just to visit!
